Dr. Aized did his B.Sc. Mech. Engg and M.Sc. Mech. Engineering from UET, Lahore and completed his PhD from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan. He was awarded Endeavour Postdoctoral Research Fellowship by Australian Government for his research in Monash University, Melbourne. He was awarded Commonwealth academic Fellowship twice which were held in University of Cambridge, UK and University College London. He is interested in Lean Manufacturing, Toyota production system, Industrial robot modelling and development, HVAC Systems, Energy Technology, mangement, planning and policy, Production and Operations management, modelling and simulation. He is an author a number of international research journals and has presented in conferences in Japan, UK, USA. He also writes in Urdu language and authored a travelogue on his travel to Cambridge entitled "Zara Cambridge Tak" and a book entitled " Yae Waqia bhi hoona thaa". He appears in Talk shows on national TV. He was founding Chairman of Department of Mechanical Engineering in KSK campus of UET. Currently, he is a professor in main campus, UET and is also serving as Member Syndicate, UET.

He was born in 1969 in Ankara. He graduated from METU-Engineering Faculty Metallurgical Engineering Department in 1992. In 1995, he completed his master's degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at METU-Institute of Science. He worked as an expert at the Turkish Standards Institute between 1994-1999. Between 1999 and 2015, he continued his business life in the private sector. He worked as a Management Systems trainer in organizations such as KALDER, MESS Education Foundation and KOSGEB. İlhami AKTÜRK, who is the Chief Auditor of Management Systems in TQCSI, TUV, EQA, URS, Orion, BTA organizations, served as a Visiting Lecturer at Marmara University International Quality Management Department. Since 2015, he has served as the Head of the Foreign Relations Department of the Turkish Standards Institute and the Head of the Certification Center.
